SAMSUNG SDI invites 200 partners to Shared Growth Day to share best innovation practices and award top-performing partners
The company aims to secure top-class technology and product competitiveness, through a whole new level of change and innovation, which will turn the crisis into a new opportunity, and to grow as a global top-tier company in 2030 together with partners
SEOUL, Korea – November 13, 2024 – SAMSUNG SDI today announced that it held the Shared Growth Day at the DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo Hotel, in Gyeonggi Province, Korea.
Shared Growth Day is an annual event where SAMSUNG SDI brings together its partners to showcase the results of shared growth initiatives and reaffirm its commitment to win-win growth. This year, over 200 attendees, including SAMSUNG SDI president Choi Yoon-ho and the CEOs of partner companies, gathered to celebrate their successful cooperation.

The event began with a greeting from SAMSUNG SDI president Choi Yoon-ho, followed by presentation of the partners' best innovation cases, the announcement of the 2025 shared growth plan, and the awarding of the Best Partner Awards to 10 partners that contributed to achieving excellent quality and technological capabilities and stabilizing the supply chain. The event also featured an exhibition of the best products of the partners as well as SAMSUNG SDI's major product lineup.
“Thanks to innovation and cooperation from our partners, SAMSUNG SDI could complete next-generation techonologies including all solid-state battery and expand its foundation for growth by securing customers like GM and Hyundai Motor despite the challenging business environment." said Choi Yoon-ho. “We will aim to secure top-class technology and product competitiveness, through a whole new level of change and innovation, which will turn the crisis into a new opportunity, and to grow as a global top-tier company in 2030 together with our partners." Choi also emphasized that upgrading development capabilities, ensuring absolute quality levels, and securing cost competitiveness are the key to future growth.

Shared Growth Day was first held in 2000 to share innovation cases between SAMSUNG SDI and its partners to pursue sustainable development and mutual growth. Starting with the Innovation Activity Contest in the early days, it was renamed as Shared Growth Festival in 2012 and Shared Growth Day in 2016.
SAMSUNG SDI launched the Shared Growth Manufacturing Innovation Activities program in 2010 and has been providing full support to its partners by offering funding and dispatching experts to help them improve productivity and product quality. This year, SAMSUNG SDI received the top rating in the Shared Growth Index evaluation for the second consecutive year, selected by the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership, for its sustainable win-win activities.

SAMSUNG SDI is continuously strengthening its company-wide sustainability management governance under the philosophy ‘ESG management lies at the core of our business growth strategy and offers a differentiating competitive edge’. In 2022, SAMSUNG SDI d the Sustainability Management Committee under the Board of Directors and the Sustainability Management Office under the direct leadership of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and in 2023, ESG part was established under the support team and procurement team.
