Very Stong Nonlinearity

PDP consists of the front and the back side part. Transparent electrodes, bus electrodes, dielectric layers and protection layers are formed in the front part , while Ag electrodes and dielectric wall fluorescent materials are formed in the back side part.. the both parts are sealed, and the inside is filled with discharge gas. In the whole universe, most substances are in the plasma state, such as lightning, aurora borealis, the ionosphere, magneto sphere, the sun, the stars.

After filling discharge gas (inactivated gas) in the space between the upper and lower boards, ultraviolet rays are generated through discharge and the ultraviolet rays collide with phosphors releasing visible rays. Two glass substrates with electrode are folded in a fixed gap among numerous tiny barrier ribs and within the spaces between them discharge gas are filled and sealed with hundreds of Torrs pressure.

Supply 100~200 voltage to the electrode.

Gas discharge occurs and ultraviolet rays are generated.

Ultraviolet rays collide with phosphors and visible rays are generated.
